REFEREE INFORMATION

Youth referees can make good money on multiple games at the various age levels of youth league play. The higher the level, the more the pay. Of course, only experienced referees can do the U12, U14, and travelling team games, but in a couple of years, most new referees are ready. Younger referees enjoy supervising the U6 and U8's to get started.

The CYSL annually offers referee training for the Grade 8 License. The next scheduled training is the second weekend of June.  The place and time will be announced on this site when it gets closer to the date.

Adult referees should take the training. An experienced adult can make from $35-$55 refereeing at the high school level, and the adult tournaments also pay well.
