REFEREES NEEDED

Dear Coaches of Teams in the Skunk Classic and Spookfest Tournaments:

These are big tournaments, and we need to hire referees from the teams, if they can commit to TWO games, minimum. We work around your team's games. Referees will be paid cash on site!

To keep the quality of the tournament up at the highest level, only experienced licensed referees should apply. An experienced older player with a valid patch may also apply. We will not schedule them during their accompanying team’s game.

Please have your referees fill-in the enclosed form and send to me up to 3 weeks before the tournament. We will call referees ahead and schedule games. If the referee cannot come s/he must call me! Also, referees will need to check-in with the Referee Coordinator before-hand (morning or night before) and get a list of special tournament rules. For more information on refs call me

How it works:

  1. Expect an acknowledgement of your submitted form below right away. If you don't hear within a week, email tess@ucdavis-alumni.com  directly for acknowledgement.

  2. A month before the tournament, a scheduler will call to confirm interest.

  3. You will be emailed or called with your referee schedule after the game schedule is complete, usually by 2 weeks before the tournament, so be patient. The ref coordinator is waiting on the game schedules too.

Don't worry!  If you are a coach, we will not schedule you to referee less than one hour before or after  your team's games.   If you are a parent, we will not schedule you for games in direct conflict with your  team, and you will not referee in the same flights.
