FIVE
simple things you
should know ABOUT FINDING TOURNAMENT LODGINGS:
There are no
3000-room corporate hotels on the Coast!
On the other hand, the Mendocino Coast has the equivalent of 9000 rooms in small one-two story lodgings with 10-100 rooms each.
There's room, but often teams have to split up.
Teams should start immediately to findaccommodations.
Do not be discouraged because they all appear full. The big advertisers fill
first, while the small places sit empty.
The tournament has been on the same weekend for a long time, and ALL the
lodgings are expecting you, even the Bed and Breakfasts.
Although the Mendocino
Coast is a tourist
destination, most lodgings
know not to
let "real tourists" be surrounded by kids.
TheMendocino Coast Chamber of Commerce
is only one source. They are very helpful, but
that list is small and limited to "chamber members" who pay for advertising.
As you have probably discovered, those lodgings are
booked as early as last year by tournament regulars. But there are hundreds more lodgings
in this area not on the Chamber list.
You will find dozens of vacation rentals on the
Mendocino Coast offered privately (not through a rental firm). Just
"google" vacation rentals on the Mendocino Coast. There are dozens!
